Example 1: permissive criterion
1st case: the branch dials 03467….
Since area code 0346 appears in the blocking table, the switchboard prohibits the call (dissuasion
tone at the branch and outside line freed)
2nd case: the branch dials 0255….
Since area code 02 does not appear in the blocking table, the switchboard allows the call
3rd case: the branch dials 103303467….
Since area code 0346 appears in the blocking table, the switchboard prohibits the call (dissuasion
tone at the branch and outside line freed)
4th case: the branch:
• dials 6*0000
• hangs up
• lifts and dials 03467…
Since the unblocking password has been keyed-in correctly, even if area code 0346 appears in the
blocking table, the call is sent in any case.
