Step 3.

Fasten the wires from the RTDs to the screwĆtype

connectors on the terminal boardassemblies. Use

shielded dual twistedĆpair cable, such as Belden 9502 or

equivalent. Typical RTD wiring connections are shown in

figure 3.2. Refer to Appendix C for a listing of the terminal

boardconnections. See Appendix G for a listing of

module faceplate connections.
Be sure that all of the RTD fieldwire connections are tight.

Note that all 4 wires must be connectedto the RTD.
The RTD module is designed to provide optimum

performance when usedwith 4Ćwire RTDs. When used

with 2Ć or 3Ćwire RTDs as shown in figure 3.2, the module

will still provide accuracy that is superior to that of

bridgeĆmeasurement techniques. See Appendix E for

additional information on 2Ć and 3Ćwire RTDs.
