Use a PowerFlex 40 Drive in an RSLogix 5000 Project Chapter 3

5.

If your PowerFlex 40 drive has been previously used, reset it to factory defaults.

a. Click the Parameters tab.
b. From the Parameter 41, Reset To

Defalts pull-down menu, choose
Factory Rset for the current
value.

c. Click Apply.

The drive is reset and fault F048
is displayed and blinks.

d. Press

to clear the fault.

6.

From the Parameter 36, Start
Source pull-down menu, choose
Comm Port.

7.

From the Parameter 38, Speed
Reference pull-down menu, choose
Comm Port.

8.

Click Apply.

Changing these parameters switches the Start Source and Speed Reference parameters
control from the keypad to the communication port, giving you the ability to control these
functions from the RSLogix 5000 tags.

9.

When prompted, click Yes.
