Connecting a Magnetic Hall Effect Sensor

The following diagram shows the external trigger wiring from a magnetic Hall
effect sensor (magnetic interrupter) to the terminals of the Enwatch unit.

Apply Power

Use the following instructions to apply power to the Enwatch unit.

1. Connect the DC power supply cable to connector 8 on the Enwatch

board.

2. Apply power at mains source.

3. Verify that the DC power input status indicator is green.

Maintenance and Service

The device requires little ongoing maintenance except for periodic checking of
the wiring inside the enclosure. In very dirty environments, occasional lubrication
of the hinges and lock, together with cleaning of the door seal is recommended.

IMPORTANT

If an external sensor is used that is powered from pin 1 of
any of the trigger connectors (3, 4, 5 or 6), then the jumper
corresponding to the trigger channel must be inserted to
provide a ground return path for the sensor power.
