9.1 WinCue Pro News Layouts
In this chapter we learn how to use the Layout Editor to create and customise Display
and Print Layouts to suit your needs. As part of the WinCue Pro News installation there
are some default layouts installed which are suitable for the basic requirements but
which can be modified or added to. By the end of this Chapter you will be able to
create and edit layouts using WinCue Pro News.
9.1.1 Warning
The WinCue Pro News layout is used to create and customise layouts for displaying
information on the screen and layouts for printing to suit your needs, therefore if they
are corrupted or deleted you will not be able to create new or access your scripts. If
this happens then you will see this error message when you try to open a file.
Before you attempt to edit your layouts it would be a good idea to backup your
layout files.
To do this go into the WinCue Pro News folder e.g. C:\WinCue Pro News\ and make
a backup of the Configuration folder. The actual layout files are stored in a sub
directory within this one, the “O” folder contains the display layout information and
the “1” folder contains the print layout information.
9.2 Running the WinCue Pro News Layout
Editor
To access the Layout Editor open the Tools menu and select Layout Editor.
