￭ Install pump tubings.
￭ Connect aspirating capillaries for the regeneration solution and
the rinsing solution.
6 Installing the MSM
See Chapter 3.18, Page 55
￭ Connect the MSM capillary labeled with H2SO4 to the outlet of
the pump tubing for the regeneration solution.
￭ Connect the MSM capillary labeled with H2O to the outlet of the
pump tubing for the rinsing solution.
￭ Guide the two MSM capillaries labeled with Waste through an
instrument's capillary feed-through to the waste container and fix
them there.
7 Connecting the instrument
￭ Connect the instrument to the PC (see Chapter 3.22.1, page
69).
￭ Connect instrument to mains supply (see Chapter 3.22.2, page
69).
8 Initial start-up
See Chapter 4.1, Page 74
￭ Switch on the PC and start MagIC Net.
￭ Switch on and prepare the instrument.
￭ Deaerate the high pressure pump.
￭ Rinse the instrument without column(s).
9 Connecting the columns
￭ Remove the 6.2744.040 coupling between the column inlet capil-
lary and the MSM capillary labeled with Eluent.
￭ Install the guard column (if used) (see "Connecting and rinsing
the guard column", page 71).
￭ Install the separation column (see "Connecting and rinsing the
separation column", page 73).

The instrument is now ready for measuring samples.
