Appendix J. APPENDIX IX- Application notes for

Chevron/Dresser Wayne

Preface:
The Wayne-Plus (Dresser-Wayne) configuration for Chevron allows the customer
to differentiate their sales of washes when sold at the pump (car wash pay-at-
pump) vs. sales sold directly through the cash register. In doing this, the Wayne-
Plus duplicates requests for the same wash type on multiple keys. To deal with
this, the POS4000 Version 656 and above supports a parameter called POS
MAX WASHES, which is a subset of the EXT POS MENU.

Configuration:
In order for the system to print codes properly, you must follow the instructions
given with the ‘Installation Instructions for POS4000 Console EPROM’ and
Uni-CAM Setup Instructions’ before proceeding with these instructions.

The Wayne plus must first be configured as per their special instructions
provided for Chevron USA configuration.
The standard configurations allow for either 2 or 3 different car washes to be sold
via the Wayne-Plus using 4 or 5 different PLU’s (cashier keys). The value of the
POS MAX WASHES will depend upon the configuration of the Wayne-Plus. Use
the following table to decide on the proper value to use:

**This configuration is not expected at this time. To date, the POS MAX

washes has been set to 4 in order to accommodate 2 physical wash
types.

Failure to properly program the POS Offset, POS MAX WASHES or the POS
TYPE may lead to the issuing of codes for the incorrect wash type. To change
