[CMD],[SYS SETUP],<PASSWORD 3>[ENTER],[MENU UP] until
“External POS MENU->“,[ENTER],[MENU UP] until “Set POS MAX
WASHES” appears,[ENTER]. Then enter the value per table above or
POS MAX WASHES. Then press the[ENTER] key twice.

After setting up the POS4000 (by wash equipment dealer/distributor) and Wayne-
Plus (done by pump distributor or service company), all wash types should be
checked by the following procedure:

Get codes from Wayne Equipment for all wash types. Do it both via the cash
register and via the pump. Do a Code Check on the POS4000 entering the code
that is on the ticket. Verify that the code purchased matches the code printed
out. The names will only match if the POS4000 console key name has been
programmed to the same name. After all of the wash types are checked, take the
codes and wash a car using the codes and verify that the proper wash is being
given.

Troubleshooting Guide)

Symptom:

Wash name printed on ticket does not match wash name requested by Wayne
equipment but when I go through the wash using the code, the correct wash is
given.

Cause:
Wash key name has not been reprogrammed.
Solution:
Reprogram the name of the wash key by pressing [CMD] key and then the wash
key you want to rename. Then enter the name you wish to call it.
Symptom:
Washes given out on pump work OK but I can only get one wash to work on the
register.

Cause:
POS MAX washes value is not set or set to an incorrect value.
Solution:
Print out a system configuration report and verify the POS MAX WASHES value
per the table on the previous page.
Symptom:
Washes are set up to use group keys to get a code from Console. And codes
received from pump are for program washes (key 1,2, or 3).
