2 Dako Artisan™ Link | Basic User Guide
Artisan™ Link provides walk away automation for special stains, controlling all procedural
requirements and includes the following hardware:
 Patented reaction chamber
 Slide carousel with a 48 slide capacity
 Reagent carousel with up to 50 reagents
The Artisan™ Link software monitors and runs the staining instruments from the workstation PC.
Each workstation has access to a database with historical slide information for the entire
installation.
You can access the p rinter from the workstation during the staining procedure to print ad hoc
reports. After the staining procedure, you can print historical reports, and then save and archive.

Dako Slide Labeling System
With the Slide Labeling System, you can print customized slide labels directly from the
workstation PC to the label printer on demand prior to slide processing and staining. Each label
has a surface for printed text and a chemical-resistant flap to protect the text. Labels are resistant
to heat and to chemicals such as xylene, xylene substitutes, ethanol, methanol and other common
solvents and histological stains.
The Artisan™ Link Instrument scans the slide labels on the slide carousel.
