Artisan™ Link Workflow

There are four steps that comprise the flow of slides through the Artisan™ Link System. The four-step

workflow is reflected in the DakoLink software with four tabs as shown below.

New Slides Tab – Use the New Slides tab to add slides to the

system through the following tasks:

Enter a case number

Enter patient information

Select a special stains protocol

Print slide labels

Complete the case

After you have added the slides to the Artisan™ Link system, the

slides appear in a list on the Workflow Tab. These are slides that have procedures

(protocols) specified, but have not been loaded onto a stainer.

You can use this tab to plan slides for a stainer, determine the required reagents,

print reports, and manage the slides.

Instruments Tab – Once the slides are placed in the

Artisan™ Link, you can use the Instruments tab to start the

run. The stainer retrieves the procedure information for each

slide, and processes the slides accordingly.

You can also monitor the slides and stainers on the

Instruments Tab.

Completed Tab –After slides are stained, you can review and print reports of

their slide records on the Completed Tab, including detailed run logs.
