Adding Slides in the New Slides Tab

The

New Slides tab allows you to add slides for a case as well as specify the staining protocol and

requirements for each slide.

There are five basic steps to follow when entering slides for a new case:

1. Enter case and patient information

2. Enter slide information

3. Edit slides details, if necessary

4. Print and apply slide labels

5. Complete the case

Before You Begin

If the refrigerated reagents are not at room temperature:

1.

Bring the refrigerated reagents that need to be used to ambient (room) temperature

before staining (45 minutes to one hour).

Note:

All Dako staining reagents are validated at room temperature. Using cold reagents

may cause non specified staining to occur.

2. Prepare wash solution: Using the 50X wash solution, follow the package insert to make the

correct dilution using laboratory grade water.

Step 1: Enter Patient Case Information

In the

New Slides Tab, you enter two types of information.

Under

Patient case, you can enter case and patient information.

Under

Slides, you can enter slide information.
