Clean the Slide Platform
Materials needed: Gauze and 1X Wash Solution
To ensure proper contact between the slides and the slide heater plates, follow the protocol below.
Clean the slide platform after you unload all slides and shut down the Artisan™ Link.
 Wipe each slide heater plate using a large gauze pad dampened in 1X Wash Solution.
 Dry each slide heater plate with a dry gauze pad.
Clean the Reagent Drip Ring
CAUTION Accumulation of dripped reagent in the drip ring may indicate a problem
with a reagent pack. Inspect it frequently and clean it daily.
 Use a large gauze pad dampened in 1X Wash Solution.
 Thoroughly wipe the reagent drip ring where accessible.
Check and Clean the Spill Tray
Materials needed: Gauze, 1X Wash Solution, deionized water, and 10% bleach solution
It is important to clean the spill tray daily to ensure that a hazard does not develop from the
potential accumulation of corrosive or flammable materials.
