Workflow Tab
A list of slides that are waiting to be placed on instruments for staining, are assigned to a specific
stainer for staining, or are currently in staining,
Protocols
Synonymous with procedures in Artisan™ Link
Power Supply
Supplies power to the Artisan™ Link Instrument.
Reagent
A solution applied to a slide from a reagent pack during slide staining.
Reagent Carousel
Motorized, rotating assembly that holds up to 50 reagent packs.
Reagent Pack
A bar-coded container holding reagent that is dispensed onto slides
Reports
You can generate reports for all slides and reagents in all steps of the Artisan™ Link.
Search Criteria
You can conduct searches by using date completed, case number, or protocol criteria.
Server
A CPU that serves as a central database which stores all information, including a detailed record
for every stained slide
Slide Carousel
Motorized, rotating assembly that holds up to 48 slides. Opening the carousel door will stop
the run.
Slide Clip
A disposable plastic housing that locks each slide onto the slide carousel to create a reaction
chamber for each slide.
Slide Identification Information
You can enter information about slides under Slides in the New Slides Tab. Protocol is the only
required information, where you can select a protocol from a list of special stains. Other optional
information (fields) includes Block, Type, Slide notes, Deparaffinization, and Slide drying.
