How Does the IR2-BB Work?
The Nobeltec ® InSight Radar 2 - Black Box (IR2-BB)™ essentially "repeats" radar
data from your radar to your onboard computer. Depending on your radar make
and model, you may need to fine-tune the radar image. An advantage to using
Jeppesen Workboat Navigator to view radar data is that you can continue to use
your existing Radar plotter device for comparison and safety.
WARNIING:
The radar image on your plotter device may look slightly different
than the image shown by Jeppesen Workboat Navigator, due to Jeppesen
Workboat Navigator validating radar data against Heading Sensor and GPS
data to confirm location.
