Entering Complex Numbers

You can enter complex numbers using either rectangular coordinates
or polar coordinates.

To enter a complex number:

■ To enter rectangular coordinates, press

S)0>

enter the

coordinates separated by fSPC) or

S)0,

and press (ENTER).

■ To enter polar coordinates, press

S)0>

enter the coordinates

separated by (3©> and press (ENTER).

The internal rectangular representation of all complex numbers has
the following effects op polar numbers:

■ 0 is normalized to the range ±180° (±7r radians, ±200 grads).

■ If you key in a negative r, the value is made positive, and

0

is

increased by 180° and normalized.

■ If you key in an r of 0,

is also reduced to 0.
