Remove the calculator battery-compartment door by pressing down
and sliding it off away from the calculator. Be careful not to press
the calculator ’s key. See the following illustration.

Turn the calculator over and shake the batteries out. After the
batteries are out, you should replace them with fresh batteries
within 2 minutes to protect against memory loss.
Warning
Do not mutilate, puncture, or dispose of batteries
in fire. The batteries can burst or explode,
releasing hazardous chemicals. Discard used
batteries according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
