SLOW MOTION SHOOTING

Slow motion shooting is useful for capturing the

details

of

actions

or

movements

which

are

othenwise too fast to be discerned. Slow motion

footage can also add a dramatic touch to filmed

action sequences.

These

cameras

allow

you

to

switch

to

slow

motion from any filming speed setting (9, 18, or

24 fps.) by simply pressing the SM button in the

center of the filming speed dial. With a fresh set

of batteries, the SM button will take the filming

speed up to 36 fps. The button is spring-loaded

and

will

cancel

itself

immediately

when

you

remove your finger pressure.

Slow motion filming is possible only with

silent film.

The SM button is inoperative with a

sound

film

cartridge.

The

following

chart

describes the dial settings with which the SM

button will operate.
