NOTE
The LIF is a light protection filter. This filter must
be used at all times unless directed by the unit
commander, to remove the LIF based upon his/her
assessment of the laser threat in the theater. Use
of this filter will result in a slight reduction in
system gain.
Install the LIF as described in paragraph 2-11.
