It is critical that the goggles be turned off manually
before placing them in the flipped up position in
order to avoid detection by the enemy.
When installing the headmount over the protective
mask, be careful not to break the protective mask
seal around your face.
The IR source is a light that is invisible to the
unaided eye for use during conditions of extreme
darkness. However, the light from the IR source
can be detected by the enemy using night vision
devices.
Do not use contaminated eyecups. They must be
replaced.
