How incoming messages are recorded in a mailbox —
Pre-recorded greeting message:

Call your unit from a touch tone telephone.
•The ANS/FAX greeting message will be played.
Press and the desired mailbox number
(|jJ,
or 0).
•A mailbox greeting message will be played.
After the beep, leave a message.
Hello! We are unable to answer right
now.
To send a fax, please start
transmission.
To leave a voice message, please
speak after the beep.
Thank you.
This is maiibox (1-3).
Please leave your name and
message after the beep.
Recording a memo message and a telephone conversation
You can record a memo message and a telephone conversation into a mailbox. Press [MAIL BOX] until
the desired mailbox number is displayed and follow the instructions on page 33.
• If you record a telephone conversation, set the desired mailbox number after lifting the handset.
Listening to messages in a mailbox
When there is a new message in a mailbox,
—the mailbox number indicator will flash, and
—a slow beep will sound if mailbox alert is set to ON (see page 52).

If you leave the mailbox password as “555”
(pre-selected setting);
Press [NEW MSGS. PLAYBACK] lightly.
OR
If you program your own password:
Press [NEW MSGS. PLAYBACK] lightly, then
enter your password.

•The unit will play back the new recorded
messages.
To exit the mailbox, press [STOP].
Note:
•[REPEAT], [SKIPj, [STOP], [QUICK] and [SLOW] can be used during playback (see page 32).
•To listen to all of the recorded messages, press [NEW MSGS. PLAY BACK] firmly in step 2 until a beep is
heard.
