Using the stereo connection cabie (not iriclbded), you

can hear CDs on your audio system.

•Turn off this unit and the other equipment before

connection.

• Do not connect the cabie to the PHONO jacks ori the

amplifier.

•Obtain the optional connecting cabie if the other equip­

ment comes with mini-phone jacks.

•Set the unit’s voiume to 10, then adjust the voiume ievei

on the other equiprrient.

•You can connect speakers, active or otherwise, wjth atj

impedance of 1 kO or iess to the headphohe jacks.

Using the unit with a car audio

system

The SL-SX281C modei comes with a car adaptor and car
stereo cassette adaptor.

Items to be purchased

(SL-SX280/SL-SX240/SL-SX230)

For connection to the car audio system:

•Car stereo cassette adaptor (SH-CDM10A)

Connect the car stereo cassette adaptor to the unit’s
headphone jack. Set this unit’s volume to 10.

For securing the unit and connecting the power

supply:

•Car adaptor (SH-CDC9)

•Car mounting kit (SH-CDF20)

Note when using the car mooting kit B

© Remove the scfevy from the bracket at the rear of

the car mounting base.

d) RepiaCe the screw in the lower hole of the

bracket.

•When you switch off the car, volume and sound quality

fnay return to the original settings and the resume func­
tion may work even if you change the disc.

•It may not be possible to use the unit with some types

of car stereos owing to restrictions imposed by the con­

struction of the oar stereo cassette adaptor.
