DTE-Modem interface commands

The parameters defined in this section control the operation of the interface between the DTE
and modem.

E - Command Echo

The modem enables or disables the echo of characters to the DTE according to the parameter
supplied.

Syntax

E[value>]

Defined Values

<value>

Decimal number corresponding to the selected option.

0

Disables command echo.

1

Enables command echo. (Default.)

Result Codes

OK

<value> = 0 or 1.

ERROR Otherwise.

Q - Quiet Results Codes Control

The command enables or disables the sending of result codes to the DTE according to the
parameter supplied. The parameter value, if valid, is written to S14 bit 2.

Syntax

O[value>]

Defined Values

<value>

Decimal number corresponding to the selected option.

0

Enables result codes to the DTE. (Default.)

1

Disables result codes to the DTE.

Result Codes

OK

<value> = 0 or 1.

ERROR Otherwise.
