I. Using a brass or similar non-sparking metal
punch or equivalent and hammer, tap the
retaining ring in a counter clockwise direction.
(See Fig. j1)
J. Once the retaining ring is loose, disconnect
the fuel feed line from the top of the fuel pump
canister along with the retaining ring and set
aside. (See Fig. j2.)
