Dynamic DNS
Unlike standard Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic DNS (DDNS or DyDNS) does not require a static
Class “A” or “B” IP Address. However, Dynamic DNS requires the device (server, gateway, router, etc.) to run
a special software application that continuously identifi es the individual unit to the remote DNS server, allowing
the IP address to change without disrupting service.
The
X -25 is preprogrammed to use DyDNS’s paid service allowing you to use a non-static IP Address when
connecting to the
X -25 remotely and when using remote telephones.
