3-4.1. General
The preliminary procedures consist of setting the required equipment and the OrPT devices ready
for configuration.
3-4.2.
Required Equipment
The required equipment for the setup and configuration consists of:
• Laptop/PC with the proper communication capability:
o
Ethernet connectivity: TCP/IP over Ethernet
• Power supply: 15 – 24 VDC / 1 A for the setup device.
Figure 3-1 provides a functional diagram of the Ethernet link setup, respectively, for configuration.
This diagram relate to connection to OrPT through a switch. Initial setup, as mentioned above, must
be done for each unit separately. If using a twist cable, the switch can be avoided
