CONNECTING SPEAKERS

Notes:

• Always be sure to use speakers having the

impedance specifications listed on the unit’s rear

panel.

• To prevent damage to the circuit, do not allow

speaker wires to come in contact with each other

or with metallic parts of the unit.

CONNECTING SPEAKER CABLES

Strip approximately 10 mm of insulation

from the ends of the speaker cables.

Tightly twist the exposed strands of speaker

wire in order to prevent shorting.

3.

Turn the speaker terminal counterclockwise

to loosen the terminal.

4.

Insert the exposed part of the speaker cable

into the hole on the side of the speaker
terminal.

5.

Turn the speaker terminal clockwise to

tighten the terminal.

CONNECTING A SUBWOOFER

Be sure to use the audio output terminal for a sub-
woofer on the unit when connecting to a powered
sub-woofer (a sub-woofer with built-in powered
amp).
For details on making connections, see the
instruction manual for your sub-woofer.

• Do not touch speaker terminals when the power is

ON as there is a risk of electric shock.

• Do not connect more than one speaker cable to

one speaker terminal as there is risk of damage to

the unit.

• Make certain that the polarity is correct when

connecting to the speaker terminals. If the

polarity is incorrect, the signal phase will become

inverted and the music being played will sound

unnatural.

SETTING SPEAKER OUTPUTS

After turning on the unit’s power (See page 11), set
the speaker output for the unit to match the speaker
connections made to terminals A and B.
The default setting is SPKR A.

Note:

Be sure to lower the audio volume before making

speaker settings.

Press the SPKR A or SPKR B button to

match speaker connections made to A and
B terminals.

Note:

Once the SPKR A or B button on the remote

controller is pressed, the display returns to normal

after 3 seconds elapse.

Press the ENTER button.

The display changes from flashing to lit.
