CONNECTING USB DEVICES

A USB device storing compressed MP3 or WMA music data files may be connected.

Note:

Connect the USB device while the unit is in standby mode or when the input source is set to other than USB. Data

stored on the USB device may be destroyed if the USB device is connected or disconnected while power is on and

the input source is set to USB.

CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL DEVICE

The audio output jack of a portable music player may be connected to the AUX IN (external input) terminal of
the unit using a commercially available audio cable with 3.5-mm diameter stereo mini-plugs.

Notes:

• Turn off the power of all devices before making connections.
• Insert the plug securely. An unsecured connection may result in noise.
• Hum or noise may result when using a USB device with USB connector if connection is made to both the

connection cord and USB connector, or when the connection cord becomes wrapped around the power cable.

• When making connections, take care that the audio volume level of the receiver unit and any other external

connected units are not set too high.
