Language
Default settings are underlined.
Set the language used for OSD, menus, playback dialogs and subtitle.

Set the language for unit’s
OSD (On-Screen Display). English / Français / Español / Italiano / Deutsch / Русский
Menu
Set the language for disc
menu or pop-up menu. Auto : Selects the language given priority in the disc.

Audio
Set the language for audio. Auto : Selects the language given priority in the disc.

Set the language for
subtitle. Off : Displays no subtitles.

NOTE
Depending on the discs, it may not be possible to change to the selected language.
In this case , change the “Audio” and “Subtitle” by pressing
AUDIO/RDS or
SUBTITLE on the remote control.
Parental
The parental control allows you to set a limit, which prevents your children from viewing inappropriate
materials. If the ratings exceed the levels you set, playback will be stopped, or inappropriate scenes such
as violent scenes can be cut or replaced with other scenes depending on the disc type.
NOTE
• When you set the parental level low, some discs may not be played at all, in this case, set the parental
level higher or the parental control to off.
• All discs may not respond to the parental level setting. Make sure this function works with your disc.

Parental Control
Set whether or not to
parental control. On : Parental control restricts playing discs according to parental level you
set.
Off : Parental control is inactive; all discs are played back.

The parental password entry screen appears as follows.

1. Press 0 - 9 to enter the 4-digit numbers, press i to select “Ok”.
2. Press ENTER .
The parental menu will be displayed.
NOTE
Do not forget the password. The default setting is “3308”.
Parental Level
Set the parental control
level. 1 [Kid Safe] : Suitable for children.
2 [G] : General audience.
3 [PG] : Parental guidance suggested.
4 [PG-13] : Unsuitable for children under 13.
5 [PG-R] : Parental guidance recommended.
6 [R] : Restricted; under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult
guardian.
7 [NC-17] : No one under 17 admitted.
8 [Adult] : Discs of any grades (adult/general/children) can be played back.
The lower the level value, the stricter the limitation.
Parental Password
Change the password for
the parental control settings. 1. Press 0 - 9 to enter the new 4-digit numbers, press i to select “Ok”.
2. Press ENTER .
The parental password entry screen for confirmation appears.
3. Perform the above step 1 and 2.
