OPERATING THE TABBER

Tab Fold Position Adjustment
The tab fold position is adjusted using the knob, located on the Media Sensor Assembly.

IMPORTANT

The desired transport speed must be set before you adjust the
tab fold position. If you change the transport speed after
adjusting the tab fold position, the tab fold position will also
change.

1. Adjust for the desired media transport speed. See “Media

Transport Speed Adjustment”.





2. Start with the Tab Fold Adjustment Knob turned fully

clockwise. Do not over-tighten this knob!

3. If the Tab button is not illuminated; press the TAB

button so it is illuminated.

4. Place two pieces of media into the hopper.

5. Press the Feed button. The unit will feed and tab both

pieces of media.

6. Stop the unit by pressing the Feed button again.

7. Check the tab fold position on the second piece.

8. If you are not getting enough tab length on the top side

of the media, to provide the desired 50/50 fold; turn
the Tab Fold Adjustment Knob counterclockwise,
about 1/4 turn.

9. Repeat from step 4 until you achieve the desired tab

fold.

10. Once you are satisfied with the tab fold position, you

are ready to begin tabbing.

Operating Sequence

1. Turn on the Main Power Switch.
2. If you want to zero out the Job Counter; press the reset button on the Job Counter, which

is located on the top of the Tabber.

3. Set the desired transport speed.
4. Activate the Tab button (button will illuminate)
5. Press the Feed button (button will illuminate) to start the media feeding.
6. To Stop the Tabber press the Feed button again.
