Varying Drop Status
When a line is up, and you view the status of the drops on the line, you will typically see
a [Vary Inactive] button displayed for each active drop. Pressing the [Vary Inactive]
button will cause the FEP-4600 to vary the drop inactive. The display for that line will
change to a magenta color (to distinguish that you manually varied the line inactive from
the FEP-4600 console, not that the node was inactive for some other reason) and a [Vary
Active] button will take the place of the [Vary Inactive] button, allowing you to vary the
drop active once again.
