Displaying Explicit Route Status:
You can verify that an explicit route has been established through the FEP-4600 by
displaying the route to the subarea that has been configured into the FEP-4600 for the
PU4 link. Remember that the FEP-4600 appears to be an adjacent VTAM for each PU4
link with a subarea number and CDRM name assigned to them. An example command
would look like this:
D net,route,destsub=17,er0
Where the subarea configured/genned for the FEP-4600 for this connection is ‘17’, and
explicit route 0 is the route of interest.
Inactivating Explicit Routes:
Just like there are no commands required to activate explicit routes through the FEP-
4600, there are also no commands to inactivate explicit routes. As long as the FEP-4600
is functioning, the explicit routes through it should remain active once they have initially
activated.
Establishing Cross Domain Connections:
Since the FEP-4600 appears as an adjacent VTAM for PU4 connections, a CDRM name
must be configured in the FEP-4600. You can activate the CDRM connection to the FEP-
4600 by issuing the following command:
V net,act,id=fep4600
Where ‘FEP4600’ is the CDRM name configured for the FEP-4600.
Displaying Cross Domain Connection Status:
You can verify that the CDRM connection to the FEP-4600 is active by entering this
command:
D net,id=fep4600
Where ‘FEP4600’ is the CDRM name configured for the FEP-4600 for this connection.
Inactivating Cross Domain Connections:
If you need to inactivate the CDRM connection to the FEP-4600, then you can use the
following:
V net,inact,id=fep4600
Where ‘FEP4600’ is the CDRM name configured for the FEP-4600 for this connection
