Update Software from an FTP Server
This method makes use of a local FTP Server. To use this method the following
preconditions must be met:
• The FEP-4600 is connected to a LAN with access to the FTP server.
• If the FTP server uses a DNS name, you must have a valid IP address configured
in the Network Configuration for a DNS server
• Any firewall that is in place between the FEP-4600 and the FTP server, must
permit FTP operations to occur. (FTP requires port 21 to be enabled.)
• You must have loaded the software update onto the FTP server.
