Channel Status

4.8.1 Channel Status - Status AES1-4 & Status AES5-8 tabs


This tab displays the most relevant parameters coded
within each incoming AES channel:

USE

Displays PRO or Consumer

PCM

Coding of incoming data: Linear or

Non-Linear.

Emphasis

Coding of the emphasis applied on the

signal.

Freq. Mode Indicates if the source is locked to a

local reference signal.

Samp. Freq. Value of the sampling frequency.

Chan. Mode Describes the way the two channels

are used.

User Bits

Utilization of the user bits.

Aux. Bits

Utilization of the auxiliary bits.

Word Len.

Coded quantization value.

Reference

Specifies if the source is a reference

signal.

Source ID

“origin” signal message (4 ASCII

characters).

Dest. ID

“destination” signal message (4 ASCII

characters).


The Channel Status bit (C bit) is read at the card
input for each channel, it will follow the routing of the
audio throughout the card. When necessary it will be
automatically updated to match the audio at the card
outputs.

4.8.2 Channel Status – Src/Dest ID tab

This tab allows modification of the Source and
Destination IDs.

Each entry is limited to four characters and must be
terminated by a keyboard “Enter”.
