Display

This display shows information such as the current program, drum kit, and

pattern step as well as various parameter setting values.

Parameter knobs 1 to 4

Select the item shown on the display or change the parameter value. If setting

items span over multiple pages, the indicator such as "1/2" (the first page of the

two pages) appears in the upper right corner of the display. Use these knobs in

combination with the PAGE UP/DOWN button.

(PLAYBACK)/(STOP) button

Each time you press this button, this unit starts or stops playback. If you press

the button again after stopping, playback starts from the beginning of the pat

-

tern. Each time you press this button while holding down the SHIFT button,

playback starts from the pause or stop position.

15.

(REC) button

Used for real-time recording. Each time you press this button, recording

switches between start and stop. In addition to steps, you can record accent,

knob, and parameter motions (MOTION).

TIP

For step edit, press the STEP button.

PROGRAM SELECT button

Press this button to select a program for this unit. If you press this button while

holding down the SHIFT button and select a program, you can switch to a new

program at the end of a bar or pattern (

p.44 "QUEUE (QUEUE MODE)").

PROGRAM SAVE button

Press this button when saving the changed program to this unit. You can save

up to 128 programs in total; 16 programs each in eight banks, A to H.

18.

KIT SELECT button

Press this button to select a drum kit of this unit. If you press this button while

holding down the SHIFT button and select a drum kit, you can switch to a new

drum kit at the end of a bar or pattern (

p.44 "QUEUE (QUEUE MODE)").

19.

Kit save button

Press this button when saving the changed drum kit to this unit. You can save

up to 128 programs in total; 16 programs each in eight banks, A to H.

20.

LIVE button

Press this button to shift to Live mode. In Live mode, you can press buttons 1

to 13 (BD to USER) to check the sound. You can also set global parameters by

pressing this button while holding down the SHIFT button ("Global Param

-

eters" p.44).

CHAIN button

Press this button when using Chain mode, which allows you to connect mul

-

tiple rhythm patterns to enhance performance ("Chain mode" p.20).
