Scanner components
Front view
The following illustration is of the
Kodak
S3060f Scanner. The
Kodak
S2085f,
S3060f and S3100f are flatbed models. If you have any other
Kodak
S2000f/
S3000 Series Scanner, you do not have a flatbed. All components are on all
scanner models unless otherwise noted.

Output tray
— collects the scanned documents.

Gap release
— turn the dial vertically to open the space between the
feed module and separation module for documents that require special
handling.

Grasp here to open flatbed
(only on the Kodak S2085f, S3060f, and
S3100f Scanners)
— provides access to the flatbed, which allows you to
scan exception documents, books, magazines, file folders, etc.

Flatbed
—
only on the Kodak S2085f, S3060f, and S3100f Scanners)

built-in flatbed which allows you to scan exception-size documents up to
A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) or 8 ½ x 11-inch (21.6 cm x 27.94 cm).

Input tray extender
— pull this extender out to accommodate documents
longer than 11 inches (27.94 cm) and up to 17 inches (43.2).

Input tray (elevator)
— holds up to 300 documents (20 lb. / 80 g/m
2
) for
scanning or up to 500 sheets for the S3120 Max and S3140 Max models.
When documents are loaded and ready to scan, the elevator will adjust to
the correct height for feeding. After scanning is completed, the elevator
will return to the lowest position. The input tray can be folded up when it is
not in use.
