Elevator Use the Elevator feature to enable/disable the Automatic input elevator. When
set to Automatic, the elevator will raise to the highest position as soon as
documents are placed in an empty elevator.
Feed adjustment Use this feature to adjust the length of time the feed rollers are engaged. If
short, light-weight, thin, or delicate documents are causing paper jams; try
changing this setting. Select from -1 to -4 (shortest time) to find the optimum
setting for the documents you are scanning. This adjustment does not affect
the transport speed of the scanner.
1. Select
Feeding from the Settings menu.
2. Select Feed Time Adjustment.
3. Choose the option that best suits the type of document you are scanning.
4. If you choose -1, -2, -3, or -4; set the scanner speed to Highest Speed , see
“Speed” on page 37.
Speed Use the Speed feature to adjust the speed of the scanner and the resolution of
scanned images.
