Changing the spectrum
analyzer display
Press SPECTRUM ANALYZER on the
remote (or press and hold DISPLAY on the
unit for more than 2 seconds).
Each time you press the button, the display
changes as follows:
SPECTRUM ON y SPECTRUM OFF
To adjust the brightness
of the display

Press SET UP.

Press P or p repeatedly to select
“DIMMER”.

Press ENTER (A/V amplifier or remote).

Press O or o repeatedly to select the
setting you want.
The setting is stored.

Press ENTER (A/V amplifier or remote).
Singing along: Karaoke
(Except for North American and
European models)
You can sing along with any disc or tape by
turning down the singer’s voice. You need to
connect an optional microphone.

Turn MIC LEVEL to MIN to turn down
the microphone volume.

Connect an optional microphone to MIC
jack.

Press KARAOKE PON on the remote.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
KARAOKE PON t MPX R t
MPX L t Effect status*
* KARAOKE PON is cancelled.
To sing karaoke by decreasing the vocal
level of a VIDEO CD/CD or a tape, select
“KARAOKE PON”.
To sing karaoke of multiplex CD, select
“MPX R” or “MPX L”.

Start playing the music and adjust the
volume.

Cancel karaoke

After you have finished
Turn MIC LEVEL to MIN and disconnect the
microphone from MIC jack, then press
KARAOKE PON on the remote repeatedly
until “m” indicator disappears.
Do this
Turn on your TV and select
the video input.
Turn MIC LEVEL to the
leftmost position, disconnect
the microphone from MIC
jack, then press KARAOKE
PON on the remote repeatedly
until m disappears.
