CRD1700-1000S Single-slot Serial Cradle
To connect the cradle:
1.
Turn off your computer.
2.
Plug one end of the serial cable into the host connector on the back of the cradle.
3.
Plug the other end of the serial cable into the serial communication port on your
computer.
Note: You may require a 9-pin to 25-pin adapter, p/n 160-0072 to connect
the cable to the serial port on the back of your computer.
Note: Your SPT 1700 terminal requires a dedicated port. It cannot share a
port with an internal modem or other device. If you are unsure about
the location of the serial port on your computer, refer to the user’s
manual supplied with the computer.
4.
Connect the power jack to the power receptacle on the back of the cradle.
5.
Plug the power cable into the wall.

To connect the cradle:
1.
Turn off your computer.
2.
Plug one end of the serial cable into the host connector on the back of the cradle.
3.
Plug the other end of the serial cable into the serial communication port on your
computer.
