Cell Failure Checks
Cell failure is covered in detail in Part I: Control Units, section 4.4.1.3,
Cell Failure. Cell replacement is covered Part II: Analysis Units chapter 5,
Maintenance.
Cell failure in the 3010T is usually associated with inability to zero the
instrument down to a satisfactorily below 5PPM reading. When this occurs,
the 3010 system alarm trips, and the VFD displays a failure message.

Before replacing the cell:
a. Check your span gas to make sure it is within specifications.
b. Check for leaks downstream from the cell, where oxygen may be
leaking into the system.
