These displays show the following information.

Displaying BGP4+ route-attribute entries

The route-attribute entries table lists sets of BGP4+ attributes stored in the Virtual ADX device’s
memory. Each set of attributes is unique and can be associated with one or more routes. In fact,
the Virtual ADX

typically has fewer route attribute entries than routes.

To display the IPv6 route-attribute entries table, enter the following command.

TABLE 3

BGP4+ route information

This field...

Displays...

Total number of BGP Routes (appears
in display of all BGP routes only)

The number of routes known by the Virtual ADX device.

Number of BGP Routes matching
display condition (appears in display
that matches specified and longer
prefixes)

The number of routes that matched the display parameters you entered.
This is the number of routes displayed by the command.

Status codes

A list of the characters the display uses to indicate the route’s status. The
status code appears in the left column of the display, to the left of each
route. The status codes are described in the command’s output.

Origin codes

A character the display uses to indicate the route’s origin. The origin code
appears to the right of the AS path (Path field). The origin codes are
described in the command’s output.

Network

The network prefix and prefix length.

Next Hop

The next-hop router for reaching the network from the Virtual ADX device.

Metric

The value of the route’s MED attribute. If the route does not have a
metric, this field is blank.

LocPrf

The degree of preference for this route relative to other routes in the local
AS. When the BGP4+ algorithm compares routes on the basis of local
preferences, the route with the higher local preference is chosen. The
preference can have a value from 0 – 4294967295.

Weight

The value that this Virtual ADX associates with routes from a specific
neighbor. For example, if the Virtual ADXreceives routes to the same
destination from two BGP4+ neighbors, the Virtual ADX prefers the route
from the neighbor with the larger weight.

Path

The route’s AS path.
