CABLES USED FOR THE TEST

Before each measurement always make sure that
the calibration is referred to the cables in use.
During a continuity test, if the resistance value free
of calibration (that is the resistance value less the
calibration offset value) is

negative, the symbols

as well as blinking CAL

are displayed

(according to 5

th

screen § 4.1.3). Probably the

calibration stored in the instrument memory is
referred to cables other than those in use,
therefore a new calibration is to be effected.

CAUTION

The display of

“Measuring” means that the instrument is measuring. During

this phase never disconnect test leads.

4.1.1.1. Procedure to cancel calibration parameters and cal symbol

To cancel calibration parameters (and the
symbol CAL) it is necessary to effect a
calibration procedure with a resistance of
test leads higher than 5

 (for example

with disconnected test leads). When a
cancellation is effected

the screen nearby

is displayed first

, followed by the screen

below:

The screen nearby is displayed for 2
seconds
, after which the instrument emits a
long sound signal
and then displays the
default screen relative to the LOW

 test

under AUTO mode without the symbol CAL.
