E5810A Software/Firmware

Communicating with the E5810A

There are two ways you can communicate with the E5810 via a network: use
the E5810 Web access or use a supported programming language with the
Agilent IO Libraries Suite.

Using the E5810 Web Access

Agilent IO Libraries Are Not Required

Instruments

Use a supported Web
Browser to access and
configure the E5810.

The E5810 provides a
Web Server that allows
for access via the Web.

Instruments are programmed
using standard instrument
commands (such as SCPI)
via the Web browser.

Using Supported Programming Languages

Agilent IO Libraries Are Required

To program connected
instruments, you must
install and configure the
Agilent IO Libraries Suite
on your PC.

The interface must be
configured for VISA
LAN Client operation.

Program instruments
using a supported
programming language
(such as C, etc.) and
VISA or SICL.
