The device cannot be used. (For example, the compact flash card is the wrong size or type.)

Replacing a dedicated boot device

If a boot hard drive fails, you will see an event that the boot device is faulty. Replace it with a new
drive, according to the hardware documentation that came with the storage system. The boot
device drives support hot swapping and do not require activation. Refer to the hardware
documentation for the storage system. See
