Remove the RAID controller from its slot.

Installing the RAID controller

IMPORTANT:

The replacement RAID controller contains a new cache module. You must remove

the cache module on the replacement controller board and attach the existing cache module to
the replacement controller board and reconnect the cache module to the battery cable.

1.

Slide the RAID controller into the slot, aligning the controller with its matching connector. See

Figure 133 (page 261)

if you are replacing Card 1 and

Figure 134 (page 262)

if you are

replacing Card 2. Firmly press the controller to seat it properly on the slot.

Tighten the screws to secure the RAID controller to the PCI cage (3,
