Emergency Shutdown Wiring:

To connect your fi re alarm or emergency management system
to the RPCM, follow these steps.

1. From the fi re alarm unit or latching Emergency Shutoff

switch, wire the common to pin 1 and the open circuit to
pin 2 (Figure 4-1).

2. When the Normally Open contacts are closed, all breakers

that have been selected for E. Shutoff cycle to OFF.

3. When the contacts are released, the status indicator should

extinguish and, if recovery is checked, all breakers that
were ON when E. Shutoff was activated should return to the
ON state.

Emergency Lighting Wiring:

To connect your emergency lighting system to the RPCM,
follow these steps.

1. From the fi re alarm unit or latching Emergency Lighting

switch, wire the common to pin 1 and the open circuit to
pin 3 (Figure 4-1).

2. When the Normally Open contacts are closed, all breakers

that have been selected for E. Lighting cycle to ON.

3. When the contacts are released, the status indicator should

extinguish and, if recovery is checked, all breakers should
return to their previous state.

lighting.

To operate Emergency Shutdown and Emergency Lighting
simultaneously, tie pins 2 and 3 together.
