Diagnostics for AS-i Monitor and networking using AS-i Master

11.1

Introduction

The new AS-i Safety Monitor – in conjunction with Euchner GmbH + Co. KG AS-i
Masters – offers not only superior on-location operation and diagnostics, but also
makes this also accessible over the network.

11.2

On-location operation

The Monitor display shows all the diagnostics data directly in the same manner as
on the Gateway with integrated monitor.

For characteristics which apply to both the 1

st

and 2

nd

AS-i circuit, the circuit is

selected with this selection box:

11.3

Spontaneous messages

The strategy for spontaneous display of messages for Euchner GmbH + Co. KG
AS-i masters is:

When the AS-i network is functioning error-free, a smiley is displayed.

When there is a fault on an AS-i slave, this is displayed until the fault is no
longer present.

For the Safety Monitor the desire is to keep the concept as similar as possi-
ble, since it is so familiar to and accepted by customers.

When there are no faults present, the states of the safety unit are displayed
as a text beneath the smiley.

When two local release circuits are present, a line is displayed with their sta-
tus, or two lines for 4 local circuits.
