Matrix Assignments on the ASI

The ASI A‑Net Systems Interface allows Pro16 output devices such as the A‑16II Personal Mixer to be

connected to a Pro64 network. The ASI has four Pro16 outputs, labeled on the hardware in blocks of

sixteen channels as 1‑16, 17‑32, 33‑48, and 49‑64. In its standard configuration, the ASI outputs the 64 Slots

of a Pro64 network (at 44.1/48kHz) in sequential order. Adding matrix assignments to the ASI makes this

device even more powerful.

the Zones are labeled A, B, C, and D. With the addition of matrix assignments the Pro16 outputs no longer

need to be restricted to sequential blocks of 16 channels. Each ASI in the network can create four unique

sets of outputs channels for on‑stage monitoring with A‑16II Personal Mixers using any Slots in the Pro64

network. Any number of ASI devices can be added to a Pro64 network to provide an unlimited number of

custom programmable multi‑zone monitor mix feeds.

Two Zones of the ASI are shown with matrix assignments.
