Scene Compatibility

To be used online with a Pro64 Network Manager project, a Scene needs to contain information that is

compatible with the exact quantity and type of all Pro64 devices in the network. Changing the number

of Pro64 devices in the network, for example from two 6416m to three 6416m mic preamps, will cause

any Scenes created when only two 6416m preamps were in the network to be invalid when three 6416m

preamps are connected. AllFrame I/O cards must be in the same slot (A‑F) as when the Scene was saved in

order to be valid.

Working Online

When a project is loaded while working online, every Scene in the project file is checked for compatibility.

If the Scene is compatible it is marked in the Scene Valid column of the Scene Manager window with a

green

OK

icon. This icon indicates that the Scene can be loaded into the current hardware configuration.

If a Scene is found to be incompatible it will be marked with a red exclamation point icon (

!

) in the Scene

Valid column. Scenes can become invalid for a number of reasons including a change in the makeup of

the network (a Pro64 device is not powered up, for example), a Scene being renamed or moved from the

project folder, or a cable problem causing A‑Net communication between devices to change or become

intermittent.

Working Offline

When working offline, Scenes can be edited as needed; new Scenes can also be created without requiring

a network connection. Scenes are only checked for compatibility when the network transitions from

working offline to working online. As happens when a project is opened while already online, all valid

Scenes are marked

OK

and any invalid Scenes will show (

!

) in the Scene Valid column.
