VDC Source

The VDC Source row indicates the Pro64 device in the network where the active VDC input is located. This

row will be blank for a VDC Slot until a VDC becomes active.

VDC Compatible Devices

The Pro64 devices in your network that are capable of using Virtual Data Cables will be listed along the left

side of the Virtual Data Cable Monitor window. Compatible devices in this list can include:

6416i Line‑Level Input Module

6416m Mic Input Module

6416o Output Module

6416dio Digital I/O Module

6416Y2 A‑Net Interface Card

The AllFrame, ASI, RCI, MH10, and MH10f have no VDC ports and will not appear in this list, even if they are

installed in the network.

VDC Destination

When an active VDC is being output from a Pro64 device, the output VDC will be shown in the VDC

Destination row for each of the 14 VDC Slots.

Three different types of VDC connections are shown.

Note that multiple copies of GPIO and MIDI Virtual Data Cables can be output if required. RS‑232 and RS‑422

are handshaking protocols; only one input device and one output device can be active per connection.

The Pro64 network is capable of distributing a maximum of seven such transmit/receive connection pairs.
