6 PPP and MP configuration

CQ NOTE

• After changing the parameters configured in the VT or the MP-group view, you need to use the

shutdown command in all the bound sub-channels to disable the MP binding.

• Then use the undo shutdown command in all the bound sub-channels to bind MP again.

• Finally, all the configured commands will be effective.

6.9.2 Configuring the MTU of the MP group

Do as follows on the routers:

Step 1 Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2 Run:

interface mp-group number

The MP group interface appears.

Step 3 Run:

myu mtu

The command configures the MTU of the MP group.

Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) is in bytes. The value ranges from 328 to 1500.

By default, MTU is 1500 bytes.

6.9.3 Configuring the maximum number of MP bundled links

Do as follows on the routers:

Step 1 Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2 Choose one of the following steps to enter the interface view as required.

• Run the

interface virtual-template

number

command to enter the VT view.

Run the

interface mp-group

number

command to enter the MP-group interface view.

Step 3 Run:

ppp mp max-bind max-bind-number

The command configures the maximum number of MP bundled links.
